Coastal PlayGrove at East Coast Park: Singapore’s tallest outdoor slide, water play and a nature playgarden

Coastal PlayGrove sits on the old Big Splash site at East Coast Park, and its four-storey play tower is a rebuild of the old waterpark tower. The top slide is Singapore’s tallest outdoor slide. Below are wading pools with jets that light up at night, a wood-and-sand nature playgarden and an outdoor classroom by the sea.

Why go?

It packs a tall tower, water play and a nature playground into one free stop.

The beach is right there for a run on the sand afterwards.

What to do

01 · The play tower

The 16-metre tower holds the Vertical Challenge, a net climb with stepping pods, hammocks, a grip wall and disc swings, and slides from the 3rd and 4th floors.

NParks marks the tower as suitable for ages 13 and up. The slides aren’t recommended when wet.

02 · Water play and nature play

The water play area, for ages 5 to 12, has wading pools linked by a stream with jets that light up at night. It’s wheelchair accessible, with a toilet nearby.

The nature playgarden, for ages 3 to 12, has three themed habitat sections and is open 24 hours.

03 · Make a day of it

Pair it with East Coast Park cycling or the beach. See more in our playgrounds roundup.
