More than Human at ArtScience Museum: 140+ works on designing with animals and plants, 28 November 2026 to 16 May 2027

Dates: 28 Nov 2026 – 16 May 2027 · daily 9am to 6pm (last entry 5pm)

What if cities were designed for bees, kelp and forests as well as people? That’s the question behind More than Human, a touring show from London’s Design Museum that lands at ArtScience Museum on 28 November. It’s big, hands-on and aimed at all ages, which makes it a strong pick for the December school holidays.

Why go?

It’s large: more than 140 artworks, objects, immersive installations, new commissions and hands-on experiences.

The Singapore edition isn’t a straight import. ArtScience Museum and the Design Museum co-curated it, adding new works and perspectives from across Asia.

It runs for almost six months, from 28 November 2026 to 16 May 2027, covering the year-end holidays and Chinese New Year.

What to do

01 · Learn what ‘more-than-human design’ means

The show introduces design that considers the needs of animals, plants and whole ecosystems, not just people, through playful and thought-provoking pieces.

02 · Look out for the London highlights

The official page previews works shown in London, including Ursula Biemann’s Forest Mind, Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg’s Pollinator Pathmaker, Julia Lohmann’s Kelp Council and the More-Than-Human Rights mural by MOTH. Check what’s confirmed for Singapore closer to opening.

03 · Get hands-on with the kids

Hands-on experiences are part of the show, and ArtScience Museum says it’s for visitors of all ages. Programmes will be announced nearer the date.
