Islamic Restaurant was founded in 1921 on North Bridge Road by M. Abdul Rahiman, who had been master chef to the Alsagoff family. Its signature is beryani, saffron rice cooked with seasoned meats. The founder’s grandson runs it today, and it is open daily from 10am to 9pm.
